Lora Mae Ross

Lora Mae Ross, age 81 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Worley, Kentucky on October 7, 1941 the daughter of Jasper and Pinkie (Hill) Ross. Lora had been the owner of Wilson’s Carpet and enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, and being with her grandchildren.

Her parents; brothers, Jasper Ross, Jr., Esau Ross, Jim Ross, Fred Ross, and Thomas Lee Ross; sisters, Shirley Sluss and Flora Crowe; and great grandchildren, Jacob Wilson and Paige Wilson precede her in death.

Survivors include her children, Colette Waters and husband, Randy of Stearns, Kentucky, Craig Wilson and wife, Wilma of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Amanda Duncan of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brother, Lonzo Ross of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Michael Trammell, Mikayla Trammell, Kevin Waters, Amy Dixon (Jonathan), and Heather Wilson; and great grandchildren, Madison Waters, Alexis Wilson, Kyson Dixon, Patricia Fultz, and Jaden Posey.

Funeral services will be held 5pm Friday, August 25, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Angel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends after 3pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
