Lonnie James Jones age 66 of Albany, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Clinton County Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David Vaughn and Bro. Melvin Daniel officiating. Burial followed in the Phillips Cemetery.
He was born April 20, 1945 in Co-Operative, Kentucky to Rease Jones and Emma (Phillips) Jones. Lonnie was a member of the Gospel Independent Baptist Church and was formerly a coal miner.
His mother, father, brothers, Darrell and Raymond Jones, and sisters, Almalene Jones and Ina Matthews precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Jo-Ann Jones of Albany, KY; sons, Jerry Jones of Stearns, KY, and Eric Gregory of Coopersville, KY; daughters, Kathy Williamson of Revelo, KY, Lisa Spradlin of Strunk, KY, and Kimberly Gregory of Stearns, KY; brothers, Leamon Jones of Stearns, KY, Bronnie Jones of Monticello, KY, Gary Jones of Stearns, KY, Denzil Jones of Monticello, KY, and Doyle Jones of Stearns, KY; Eva Maxwell of Stearns, KY, Addie Watson, of Stearns, KY, Alline Branscum of Monticello, KY, Netty Thomas of Chots Worth, GA, Lena Whittington of Franklin, TN, and Linda Mullins of Nashville, TN; and eight grandchildren.
