Lola Ellen Black, age 89 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died July 24, 2011 in Pine Knot, Kentucky at the McCreary Helath and Rehab. Funeral services were held Wednesday July 27, 2011 at 3pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Cyrus Byrd officiating. Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.
She was born in Ritner, Kentucky on June 24, 1922 the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Phillips) Black. She was a machine operator and of the Baptist Faith.
Her parents, brothers Coy Black, Roy Black, and Hewey Black, sisters Cora Francis Black, Ida Black, Dora Shelton, Ottie Eldridge, Jettie Foster, Lydia Perkins, Virginia Webb, and Allie Carter, and 2 infant siblings precede her in death.
Survivors include her sister Grace Kearney of Citrus Heights, California and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
