Lois Jean Trammell

Lois Jean Trammell, age 64 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Reginal Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 30, 1958 the daughter of Allen E. Thompson and Helen Juanita (Duncan) Smith.  Lois had worked as a machine operator for McCreary Manufacturing and was a member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and being with her grandbabies.

Her parents and sisters, Bonnie Neeves, Doris Collins, and Pamela Jo Thompson precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Dewayne Trammell of Strunk, Kentucky; children, Rhonda Tapley and husband, Ronald of Pine Knot, Kentucky, David Trammell and wife, Theresa of Strunk, Kentucky, and Melissa Trammell of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Allen Dale Thompson of Jackson, Kentucky and Randall Thompson of Strunk, Kentucky; sisters, Carol Sorrell of Louisiana, Judy Campbell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Peggy Carnes of Florence, Kentucky, and Kathie Spradlin of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Taylor Trammell, Brandie Tapley, Sierra Tapley, Ambur Trammell, Johnny Trammell, and Heaven Tapley; and great grandchildren, Stormi Lyons, Asher Lyons, Noella Lyons, and Haisley Ret Trammell.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Perry and Bro. Tommy Tapley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lower Marsh Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the Funeral Home.
