LIZZIE LENA PERRY

Miss Lizzie Lena Perry, age 64, passed from this life on Friday, April 8, 2016, at her home in Whitley City, Kentucky.

Lizzie was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on May 2, 1951, to the late Zeb and Dessie (Sumner) Perry.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.

Surviving family include her lifelong companion of 30 years, Ken West, a daughter, Connie Redmond (husband Brian) of Whitley City, three sisters: Lona J. Perry of Whitley City, Winona Hatfield of Pine Knot, and Bonnie Webb of Pine Knot and a brother, Dillard Perry of Whitley City.  She had four grandchildren that she cherished dearly: Casandra Wood (husband Kenneth) of Pine Knot, Haylee Sellers and Savannah Redmond of Whitley City and Tyler Redmond of Bronston, Kentucky.  She had two great grandchildren: Colton and Case Wood.

Lizzie had worked as a clerk for Walmart and was a member of the Roberts Chapel Church.  She enjoyed gardening, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting and doing anything outdoors.  She was talented in drawing and sketching , loved her coffee and bossing her sister Lona.    She will be missed greatly.

Funeral services:  2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Whitehead officiating.

Burial at the Crissman Cemetery at Flat Rock

Visitation:  6 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the funeral home.
