Lional Wade Garland

Lional Wade Garland was born March 16, 1964, the son of the late Lonnie Garland and the late Vonda Taylor Kidd. He passed peacefully from this life on January 7, 2025 at home.  

Wade enjoyed playing with his dog Russell, watching the Kentucky Wildcats play, camping, fishing, riding ATV’s, watching TV, country music, his family and was a member of the GUmfork United Baptist Church.  

Wade is survived by his sister, Loretta Burke (and the late Michael Burke) and his brother, Raymond Prewitt (and Tanya Prewitt); two kids he loved as his own, Stacia Daugherty and Ryan Duncan; special cousin, Steve Garland; nephews, Harley Burke and Davon Burke; nieces, Jennifer Burke-Bryant (and Greg Bryant) and Jessica Burke (and Jason Fahey); great-nieces, Raigan Privett and Taylor Privett and a host of family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wendall Garland and Wayne Garland, and his nephew, Cameron Burke. 

Funeral services will be held 12pm Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Garredd Corder and Bro. Dustin Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 10am Thursday at the Funeral Home.
