Linda Sue Worthington

Linda Worthington, age 74, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Baptist Health of Corbin, Kentucky.

She was born on December 10, 1942, the daughter of the late Albert and Nina Roberts Strunk.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son: Dexter Keith, brother: James Strunk, sisters: Gloria Taylor, Betty Tucker, Becky Bryant and Alma Ruth Perry.

Surviving family include her husband: Paul Worthington of Stearns, daughters: Melissa Marlar, Jamestown, KY., Nancy Worthington, Pine Knot, KY., Margaret Lansford, Jackson, GA., Paula Anderson, Jackson, GA., Dana Worthington, Clinton, TN., Amy Pickle, Knoxville, TN., grandchildren: Marshall, Rachel, Ana, Isabel, Ed, Maya, Carly, Cooper, Cody, Kevin, Ally, Annie, Greg, Gary, Eric, great-grandchild: Gracie.

Linda enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and entertaining, she was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. Linda will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, we trust our loss is heavens gain.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.  Family will receive friends Tuesday at 11:00 am until time for funeral services at the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
