Linda Lou Vanover, age 66 years, of Sandhill Community died July 25, 2011 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday July 28, 2011 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Patrick and Rev. Jimmie Vanover officiating. Burial was in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery.
She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on May 17, 1945 the daughter of the late Earlie Virgil and Hattie (Watson) Perry. She was a homemaker, member of the Taylor Ridge United Baptist Church and Laurel Heights Chapter #288 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her parents and 2 infant siblings precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband Darrell Vanover, daughters Donna Sumner and husband Kyle and Michelle Perkins and husband Byron all of Whitley City, Kentucky, and sisters and brothers Nora Sumner of Whitley City, Kentucky, Starlin Perry and Darvin Perry both of Stearns, Kentucky, Carl Perry of West Harrison, Ohio, Clifford Perry of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Wanda McCullah of Whitley City, Kentucky, and James Perry of Cincinnati, Ohio. Grandchildren Clarissa Tucker and husband Mitchel, Zachary and Macy Sumner, and Jenna and Jolie Perkins also survive.
