Linda Marie Tucker

Linda Marie Tucker, age 68 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on October 22, 1955 the daughter of Paul Preston Wilson and Ella Mae (Vanover) Wilson. Linda had been a manager for Dairy Queen and KFC and was a member of the Day Ridge United Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and flowers, but her greatest joy in life was her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Andy Tucker; and brother, Mike Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Roger Tucker of Whitley City, Kentucky; son, Allen Tucker (Heather) of Richmond, Kentucky; daughter, Ashley Jones (Brent) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Tucker of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Betty Gerding (Tim) of Elsmere, Kentucky, Shelby Rose of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Gilda Long of Stearns, Kentucky, and Paula Slaven of Revelo, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jakeb Tucker, Evan Tucker, Anastasia Tucker, Abbagail Perkins, Austin Perkins, Ellie Jones, and Allie Jones; and great grandchildren, Indie Ellis and Ripley Tucker.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Damon Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in the Strunk Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
