Leroy Thompson

Leroy Thompson, age 74, from Cincinnati, Oh. previously Strunk, Ky passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Visitation and funeral services will be Sunday, August 31, 2014 Visitation 1-3 pm directly followed by the funeral service at McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial at Privett Cemetery.

Leroy was born June 30, 1940, to the late Alex and Lora (Murphy) Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Joyce (Slaven) Thompson, Cincinnati, Oh previously of Pine Knot, Ky Loving father of Ricky (Julie) Thompson, Teresa (Mark) Campbell, Jenny & Scotty Thompson. Beloved grandfather of Johnny, Nick, Troy, and Tara and great grandfather of Lydia. Dear brother of Mildred Putnam, Dorothy Sisk, Norma Lucas, Betty Boyd, & Darlene Creekmore.

He was a charter member of Gloryland Way Missionary Baptist Church, Cleves, Oh. He loved to sing, spend time with his family, and watch the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
