LEONARD PHILLIPS

Leonard Phillips, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.  He had attained the age of 75 years, and 19 days.

Born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on May 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Earl and Della (Young) Phillips.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters; Virginia Madden, Ruby Waters, Leona Morris and Beulah Phillips.

Surviving family include his wife Dorothy (Tapley) Phillips of Stearns, four sons; James Leonard Phillips of Revelo, Gary Bruce Phillips of Pine Knot, Robert Allen Phillips of Stearns, Millard Lee Phillips also of Stearns, three daughters; Leona Jean Lyons of Somerset, Rhonda Lyn Jones of Virginia and Jennifer Ann Phillips of Marshes Siding.  His brother is Harry Bruce “Buckie” Phillips (wife Linda) of Muncie, Indiana.  Leonard and Dorothy had 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home.  Burial at the Angel Cemetery.  The family to receive friends Tuesday evening after 6:00 at the funeral home.
