Lee E. Ridner, age 78, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed from this life January 8, 2022 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Marshes Siding, KY., on May 2, 1943 to the late Estle and Nola Hicks Ridner.
In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Toots Ridner, whom he married on May 1, 1963, sisters, Flossie Ridner and Roxie Mitchell; brothers, Ted, Ben, Finley and Danny Ridner.
Surviving family include his sons, Gary Ridner of Parkers Lake, Stacy Ridner of Parkers Lake and Steve and wife Julie Ridner of Stearns; Daughter, Lisa and husband Hudy Goins of Parkers Lake; brother, Michael and wife Debbie Ridner of Parkers Lake; sisters, Wilma and husband Roger Bennett of Parkers Lake, Mossie Ridner of Whitley City; grandchildren, Steven & Sandra Ridner, Aaron Wilson, Erica Perry, Travis and Patience Sharon, Josh & Amy Goins and Dustin & Katalyn Goins; great grandchildren, Annslee Ridner, Adeline Goins, Caleb Brown, Alyssa Goins, Ralston Hurd and Landry Goins.
Also, to mourn his loss, Lee leaves behind a special friend, Tom Perry and brother-in-law, Curtis Campbell.
Lee worked as a coal miner and in the logging industry. He enjoyed, fishing, hunting, playing poker, watching wrestling and UK basketball, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home, January 11, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with funeral services to follow on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Mill Creek Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery, with Brothers Dow and John Goodin officiating.
