Larry Stephens, age 56 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died August 20, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Waters officiating. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on July 27, 1956 the son of Darris and Joann (Stephens) Stephens. He was a residential living staff for the Pine Knot Job Corp, of the Baptist Faith, and a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.
His son, Gregory Allen Stephens; and brother, Timmy Stephens precede him in death.
Survivors include his parents, Darris and Joann Stephens of Indiana; grandmother & special mom, Ruby Stephens of Stearns, Kentucky; wife, Donna Stephens; son Larry Stephens, Jr. of Winfield, Tennessee, step son Justin Coffey of Whitley City, Kentucky; twin brother, Garry Stephens; and brother, Danny Stephens, sisters, Trish, Loretta, Susie, and Patty; and step sisters, Bonnie and Cindy all of Indiana. 4 grandchildren and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
