Kenneth Wayne "Bubba" Goodin

Kenneth Wayne “Bubba” Goodin, age 54 years, of the Eagle Community, died Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 22, 1969 to Kenneth Earl Goodin and Rebecca (Spradlin) Stevenson.  Wayne had worked as a cook at the Cumberland Falls State Park and was a member of the Eagle Creek United Baptist Church. He was an avid UK Basketball and Football fan.

His parents; grandparents, Rev. Roscoe and Ida Spradlin and Denton and Cora Goodin; and a sister, Melissa Gail Goodin precede him in death.

Survivors include his brothers, Gregory Allen Goodin of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Bro. Jody Andrew Goodin of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Timothy Ray Goodin of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Rodney Jerome Goodin (Donna) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Ronald Curtis King of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sisters, Teresa Johnson (Kenneth) of Somerset, Kentucky, Alice Cooper of Monticello, Kentucky; Stepmother, Debbie King of Pine Knot, Kentucky; aunt, Linda Sumner of Whitley City, Kentucky; and uncle, Archie Spradlin (Beatrice) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Cassada, Bro. Gary Patrick, and Bro. Bob Goodin officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagle Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends after 6pm Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
