KARLA ANN GROSCHELLE

Karla Ann Groschelle, LPCC, NCC, age 53 of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, after a brief, but valiant struggle with cancer.
She was born November 11, 1958 in Jackson, Tennessee to Frank and Ann (Craig) Groschelle. Karla was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and an advocate for children. She was a Licensed Practical Clinical Counselor and a Nationally Certified Clinical Counselor. She helped start the McCreary County Academy, was a founding lesion for the Adoption Support for Kentucky (ASK) program, and was a regional trainer until her death. Karla also helped train hundreds of Foster and Adoptive parents across Kentucky. Professionally, she served the mental health needs of this region in many capacities, eventually opening her own practice in Pineville of Bell County, Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Graham, children, Vonda, Jonathan, Darryl, Leeann, and Kale, grandchildren, Jade, Patience, Patricia, Evan, Melody, and Connor.
Karla’s life will be celebrated at the McCreary County Funeral Home, Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Jeff Damon officiating.
