Karen Lee Thomas

Karen Lee Thomas, age 70 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Friday October 28, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 24, 1952 the daughter of Clifford and Lois (Powell) Clark. Karen had been a homemaker and worked as a CNA for a short while, and was a member of the Whitley City Church of God. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ray Thomas, whom she married March 27, 1971; daughter, Tonya LeeAnn Wright and husband, Joshua of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brother, Cliff Clark and wife, Nova of Richmond, Kentucky; sister, Michelle “Shelley” Cox and husband, Tim of Whitley City; grandchildren, Ava Jolee Wright and Mya Jean Wright; bonus grandchildren, Joshua Wright, Matthew Wright, Natalie Wright, Connor Wright, and DeSahwn Bynum; great grandchildren, Carson Wright and Isabella Evans; sisters-in-law, Beattress Harding and husband, Claude, Della Kreitzman and husband, Gary, and Barbara Watson and husband, Estell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Whitley City Church of God. Burial will follow in the Whitley City Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Tuesday at the Church.
