Judy Kay Murphy

Judy Kay Godsey Murphy, age 60 years, passed from this life Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her home in Somerset, KY.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 28, 1961, the daughter of the late Cline and Mossie Geneva King Godsey.  She was employed as a Unit Secretary for Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, she enjoyed softball and her dog chewie, but her greatest joy was her family and grandkids. 

She is survived by her son, Adam and Lilly Musgrove of Virginia Beach; daughter, Maranda K. Majors of Somerset, KY.; companion, Albert Perish; sisters, Brenda J. Henderson of Somerset, KY., grandchildren, Hannah and husband Dalton Applegate, Kainan Musgrove, Kayden Musgrove and Speciale Sanders; great-grandchildren, Zaylin and Kyrie Applegate; special niece, Christie Sanchez; nephew, Michael Sanchez; uncles, Starlin Perry and Charles and his wife Kathy Fraley; great niece, Bryana Sanchez; nephew, Trey Sanchez and cousin, Michael Ryan.

In addition to her parents, Cline and Mossie Geneva King Godsey, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Bryant.

Graveside service will be at Pine Knot Cemetery, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Brother Nate Howard officiating. 

McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with the service for Judy Murphy.

In Lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
