Judson Henry Wright

Judson Henry Wright, age 88 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Signature Health and Rehab in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on June 23, 1934 the son of Royce and Madeline (Henry) Wright. Judson. Judson had worked in maintenance for the McCreary County School System, was a member of the Revelo Church of God, and served his Country in the US Army.  Being a faithful church member, attending numerous other churches, reading his bible from front to back twice a year all because of his love for the Lord, dedicated to his family, and fishing were his enjoyments in life.

His parents; wife, Lexie (Watson) Wright; great grandson, James William VanOver II; sons-in-law, Wayne Shook, CJ Cline, and Jay VanOver; and brother-in-law, Verlon Braden precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Johnie Royce Wright (Karen) of Revelo, Kentucky; daughters, Roxanne Shook of Stearns, Kentucky, Rebecca Cline of Mountain Home, Idaho, Rhonda Boyatt of Revelo, and Joyce VanOver of Revelo; brothers, Sonny Wright (Betty) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Allen Wright (Kathy) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sister, Rose Marie Braden of Stearns; grandchildren, Dallas Shook, Kaylie Shook, Trevor Thornton, Derrick Thornton, Kasie Walker, April Wright, Tanja Boyatt, Keisha Boyatt, Veronica Lynch, AJ VanOver, and Alex VanOver; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Gilreath, Jr. and Bro. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 1pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
