Johnny Wayne Troxell age 51 of Whitley City, Kentucky died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the St. Maryâs of Scott County in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 8:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Blankenship and Bro. Harold Rollins officiating.
He was born June 1, 1960 in Strunk, Kentucky to Fred Wilt Troxell and Mittie (Wilson) Troxell Broach. Johnny was of the Baptist faith, having attended Stearns First Baptist. He was a member of the U.S. Navy, the American Legion post #115, and was also a member of the North American Hunting Club. Johnny had worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Carrier.
His father and brother-in-law, Allen Inman, precedes him in death.
Survivors include his mother Mittie Broach of Stearns, Kentucky; his companion, Melinda Dobbs of Oneida, Tennessee; a son Johnny W. Troxell II and wife, Becky, of Somerset, Kentucky; a daughter, Chelsea Charita Troxell and husband, Stan, of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Willis Troxell and wife, Deanna, Denzil Troxell, and Marshall Troxell, all of Strunk, Kentucky and Barry Troxell of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, Phyllis Inman of Strunk, Kentucky and Kathy Taylor and husband, Bill, of Whitley City; the mother of his children, Vicki Troxell of Strunk, Kentucky; grandson Brynn Troxell; a step-daughter Jordan Leigh Hardins of Pine Knot, Kentucky and her mother, Marilyn Troxell of Pine Knot, Kentucky; and a step-granddaughter, Raelii Bowles.
