John Ray Helton

John Ray Helton, age 57 years, of the Greenwood Community died Monday, April 23, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 8pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Jake Helton officiating. The family will receive friends after 6pm Saturday at the funeral home. In accordance with is wishes cremation will follow.

He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on March 25, 1961 the son of Patricia (Pearson) Helton and the late James Ray Helton. John was a member of the Whitley City Church of God and had worked as a logger. He enjoyment in life was hunting and fishing.

His father; and son, Shawn Helton precede him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Helton of Greenwood; sons, Jason King of Somerset, Jack Helton of Pine Knot; daughters, Joni Helton of Pine Knot and Hailey Ann-Marie of Parkers Lake; brother, James Helton of Greenwood; sister, Anna Rollins of Pine Knot; and 5 grandchildren.
