Joanne Ledbetter Miller

Joanne (Ledbetter) Miller , beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and Gigi, age 79, passed away December 21, 2021, at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.

Jo was a creative seamstress who enjoyed spending time at her sewing machine. She loved caring for her cats and her critters, especially the time she spent caring for Oliver the opossum. But the thing she most loved was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family members.

Jo was born on October 5th, 1942, in Blue Heron (Mine 18), Kentucky to the late Luther and Gertie (Frady) Ledbetter. In addition to her parents Jo is preceded in death by a sister, Grace Watters and her husband, Lawrence Watters, brother, Lebert Ledbetter, and brother-in-law, Don Koon.

Surviving family include husband, James Miller, sons, Jeffrey Shoopman (Marissa), Damon Shoopman (Cathy), stepson, Mark Miller (Kaylee), 3 siblings, Evelyn Koon, Tommy Ledbetter, and Mack Ledbetter (Juanita), 5 grandchildren, Donnie (Becky), Daniel (Jessica), Koti, Sydney (Matt), Mae and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many other family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home at 12:00pm with burial following at the Angel Cemetery in Stearns. Visitation will be held prior to services at 11:00am.
