JIMMY RAY HELTON

James Ray Helton, age 69 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Decemebr 4, 2010 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dixon and Bro. Jackie Lawrence. Burial was in the Strunk-Yancey Cemetery. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 6PM TUESDAY DECEMEBER 7, 2010 AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Knox County, Kentucky on September 20, 1941 the son of the late Bernard O. Helton and Hazel Mae Vanover. He was a business representative and a member of the Whitley City Church if God and Greenwood Masonic Lodge #903. His parents, brother Clell Yancey, and sister Joyce Ann Yancey precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann Helton, sons James Otis Helton and John Ray Helton all Parkers Lake, Kentucky, daughter Anna Vlisteen Helton of Burnside, Kentucky. Brothers and sisters Aileen Yancey, Reed Yancey, Edda Vay Yancey, Wnada Fay Yancey, Ruth Yancey, Glenna May Yancey, Doyle Yancey, Lois Yancey, Wilma Yancey and Dean Yancey. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
