JIMMIE LEE SMITH

Jimmie Lee Smith, age 68 years, three months and 28 days, passed away July 19, 2018, at the Baptist Health of Corbin Hospital. 

He was born March 21, 1950, to the late Estil Smith and Molly (Gilbert) Boyatt.

Surviving family include the mother of his children: Wanda Smith of Stearns, Kentucky, a son, Scott Smith (and wife Bridgett) of Strunk, Kentucky, a daughter, Sharon (and husband Gary) Mullis of Stearns,

A brother, Bobby Boyatt of Monticello, Kentucky, two sisters: Caroline Gregory of Somerset, Kentucky and Connie Decker of Monticello,  He has four grandchildren: Halee Renee Smith, Tyler Ball, Dillon Burke and Kelsey Burke and two great grandchildren: Maelynn and Cassidi Ball.

Jimmie had worked as a welder and in his pastime he enjoyed off-roading and 4-wheeling. 

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Estil Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at the Angel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until time for services at the funeral home.
