JIMMIE C. HELTON

Jimmie C. Helton, age 80 years, of Beulah Heights Community died August 5, 2010 at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday August 8, 2010 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The Family will receive friends after 6pm Saturday August 7, 2010 at the funeral home. He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on December 15, 1929 the son of the late Ralph and Florence Brooks Helton. He was a forklift operator for General Motors, a member of the United Auto Workers, and of the Baptist Faith. His parents, brothers Billy Ray Helton and Millard Ralph Helton, and sisters Mildred Ethel Helton and Mary Ellen Bryant precede him in death. Survivors include his wife Gertrude Helton, daughters Alvilda Burke of Oneida, Tennessee, Juanita Gallinger and Billie Ellen Philpot both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a sister Winnie Lou OPennyO Strunk of Loveland, Ohio. Six grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
