Jim Raleigh age 69 of Somerset, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Burgess officiating. Burial followed in the McCreary Memorial Gardens.
He was born August 10, 1942 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to James D. Raleigh and Juanita Hughes Raleigh. Jim was a member of the Whitley City Church of God. He made his living as a contractor and owner of Sherry Lynn Music.
His father, mother, and sister, Wanda Fay Raleigh precedes him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Raleigh of Somerset, Kentucky, son, Darrell Raleigh of Dennison, Texas, a daughter, Cheryl Rhoden of Lufkin, Texas, step-children, Annessa Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky and Alison Gossage of Russell Springs, Kentucky, a brother, Bobby Raleigh of Bronston, Kentucky, 3 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
