Jerry Lee Ross

Jerry Lee Ross, age 72, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Jerry was born on November 24, 1950 in Worley, Kentucky to the late Charlie Ross and Clara (King) Ross. Jerry was a truck driver and was of the Church of God faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically camping and traveling. He didn't stay anywhere long but we know he has found his resting place now.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Herbert Gene Ross; two sisters, Charlene Cecil Vanover, Joyce Ross Phipps; two infant sisters; three infant brothers; and a niece, Janel Woods.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Novella Woods (Larry), of Daleville, Indiana, Betsy Phillips (Roy), of Stearns, Kentucky; his wife, Brenda Ross, of Georgia; three daughters, Rebecca Basset (Tim), of Muncie, Indiana, Maria Faussett (James), of Fort Myers, Florida, Tracy Chalmers, of Marion, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four nieces; nine nephews; and a host of other family and friends, he will be missed by all.

A special thank you is extended to his niece Donna Cecil Brown whom he lived with and her daughter Summer Harris for spending the last few hours with him.

Funeral services for Jerry will be held in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Phipps officiating at 12:00pm EST on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Friends may visit on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00am until service time. Burial will follow the funeral service and will be in the Angel Cemetery in Stearns, Ky.
