James “Buster” Millard Coffey passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 In Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, being 67 years, 10 months, and 6 days old. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on February 28, 1950 to the late Beecher and Oma (Young) Coffey.
Buster was of the Baptist faith and worked in the Steel Foundry. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He liked playing games, hunting and fishing in his free time.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife: Brenda Lou (Cox) Coffey, brother: Nixon Coffey, sisters: Myrtle Coffey, and Sandra Gresham.
Surviving family includes; his wife: Isabell (Eply) Coffey of Sidney, Ohio, sons: Jamie Coffey of London, Ohio, Steven Coffey of Sidney, Ohio, Joseph Coffey of Anna, Ohio, Bodie Griffith of Sidney, Ohio, daughter: Tammy Griffith of Sidney, Ohio, brothers: Silas Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, Larry Coffey, of Stearns, Kentucky, Curtis Coffey of Strunk, Kentucky, Cleadus Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, Gary Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky, sisters: Margaret Welch of Sidney, Ohio, Nina Hatfield and husband Dewayne of Sidney, Ohio, Mildred Bray of Sidney, Ohio, grandchildren: Kayla Coffey, Alexis Coffey, Madelynn Coffey, Isabella Taylor, Ryker Coffey, Gavin Griffith, Blaine Coffey, and Blake Coffey.
Funeral services: 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Coffey and Bro. Stewart Jones officiating.
Visitation: Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
Burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
