Howard Thomas, age 89 years, Douglasville, Georgia formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky died April 12, 2010 in Douglasville, Georgia. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at McCreary County Funeral Home with Thomas Family officiating. Burial was in Kingtown Cemetery. He was born at McCreary County, Kentucky on November 11, 1920 the son of the late Everett and Mattie Hill Thomas. He was a retired truck driver. His wife, Katherine Wilson Thomas and his parents preceded him in death. Roger Wendell Thomas is the deceased son. Mabry Cox and Alma Thomas are the deceased sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Thomas Gad, Austell, Georgia and daughter-in-law, Linda Thomas, Douglasville, Georgia. The surviving brother and sisters are, Charles Everett Thomas, Danville, Kentucky; Ruth Cordell, Stearns, Kentucky; Reba Little, Pine Knot, Kentucky; Glenna Ball; Jane Gilreath, Somerset, Kentucky and Valda Douglas, Indianapolis, Indiana. Six grandchildren; twenty- three great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
