Herstel Bryant, age 86 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died November 10, 2012 in Corbin, Kentucky at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy L. Corder officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
He was born in Cooperative, Kentucky on October 10, 1926 the son of the late George and Mary (Patrick) Bryant. He had worked maintenance for the Railroad, the Older Americans Program for the Forest Service, and was of the Baptist Faith.
His parents; wife, Thelma (Manning) Bryant; son, Larry Wayne Bryant; and sisters, Alice Moore, Lora Strunk, Flossie Perry, and Nellie Sumner precede him in death.
Survivors include his sons and daughters, Jerry Milford Bryant of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Wanda Sue West and husband, Dan of Stearns, Kentucky, Linda Carol Kelly and husband, John of Sidney, Ohio, Lisa Kay Bryant of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Scottie Dale Bryant of Louisville, Kentucky. 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
