HERMAN RIDNER

January 25, 1934 — February 29, 2012

Herman Ridner, age 78 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died February 29, 2012 at his home.  Funeral services were held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dow Goodin and Rev. Harold Gudger officiating.  Burial was in the Marlar Cemetery.

He was born in Honey Bee, Kentucky on January 25, 1934 the son of the late Sam and Cena (Vanover) Ridner.  He was a machinist for the Ford Motor Company, Commissioner of the Eagle-Sawyer Volunteer Fire Department, and member of the Liars Club at Goodin’s Market.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and Nascar Racing. He also served his country in the US Army.

His parents, an infant brother, and grandsons Matthew Lynch and Ethan Campbell precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Fontella (Swain) Ridner, sons, Wayne Ridner, Lonnie D. Ridner and wife Doris, James W. Ridner and wife Karen, Jerry W. Ridner and wife Amanda, and daughter, Brenda Campbell and husband Kenneth all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky.  13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.
