Herman Ducan

Herman Duncan departed from this life on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky being 77 years, 3 months and 6 days. He was born in Strunk, Kentucky on November 23, 1938 to the late Sherman Duncan and Sylvania King.

He was a member of the Silerville United Baptist Church. Herman loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. 

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his Companion Imogene Duncan, a son, James Ray Creekmore, three brothers: Theodore Duncan, Arvalee Duncan and Bud Duncan, four sisters: Genevieve Peak, Maxine Bowlin, Mary Austin Smith and Geneva Duncan.

He is survived by his five step-sons: John Duncan (Sandy), Pine Knot, KY, Randy Lee Duncan, companion Corina Garland, Williamsburg, Kentucky, James R. Duncan, Williamsburg, Kentucky, two step-daughters: Shirley MacDonald (Jim) of Georgetown, KY, Gena Meadors (Donnie) of Williamsburg, KY, twelve Grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services are on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Rollins Officiating.  Visitation is Thursday, March 3, 2016 beginning at 12:00 PM until funeral time.  Burial will follow in the Silerville Cemetery. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
