Hazel Jones, age 102 years, of Revelo, Kentucky died August 2, 2013 in the McCreary Health and Rehab in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Vaughn and Rev, Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on February 16, 1911 the daughter of the late Dan and Hannah (Ross) Vickery. She was a homemaker and member of the First Hickory Grove Baptist Church and McCreary County's oldest known citizen.
Her parents; husband, Rev. Thomas D. Jones; sons, Thomas D. Jones, Jr., Darrell Jones, and Dorman Jones; brothers, Herbert Vickery and Herman Vickery; and sisters, Ethel Lavender, Dorothy West, and Lurie Kidd precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn J. Jones and wife, Vivian and Franklin Delano Jones, and wife, Aldena of Revelo, Kentucky, 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren.
