Harry Vanover, age 84 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died January 27, 2014 at his home on Beulah Heights Rd. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the McCreary County Funeral Home.
He was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on July 8, 1929 the son of the late Robert and Eldora (Stephens) Vanover. He was a carpenter by trade, a member of the McCreary County Sportsman Club, loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Indian Creek United Baptist Church.
His parents; wife, Eva Lois Sis Jones Vanover, brothers; Roy, Ray, Ralph, Joe, Bill, Claude, Coy, and Louie Vanover; sisters: Minnie and Flonnie Vanover, Helen Patrick, and Linnie Perkins preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons: J.L. Vanover and Nona of Stearns, Kentucky; Wayne Vanover and wife Lis of Florida; Glenn Vanover of Beulah Heights, Kentucky, and Ronnie Vanover and wife Debbie of Michigan; daughters: Connie Patrick and husband Bill of Beulah Heights, Jo Carol Vanover of Beulah Heights and Gayla Perry and husband Steve of Beulah Heights; twin brother Holland Vanover of Williamsburg, Kentucky, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
