Anna Gertrude Helton age 88, the widow of Jimmie Helton, of Whitley City, Kentucky, deceased this life on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at the McCreary Health & Rehabilitation in Pine Knot, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10:00 am at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Sexton and Rev. Thomas Branscum officiating. Burial followed in the Higginbotham Cemetery.
She was born April 3, 1923 in Smithtown, Kentucky to Columbus Perry and Hattie King Perry. She was a member of the Baptist Faith, the Kentucky Colonel, Cosmetology of Ohio, and the Senior Citizens of Whitley City.
Her father, mother, husband, Jimmie, and a brother, Edward Perry precede her in death.
Survivors include her children, Alvilda Burke of Oneida, Tennessee, Juanita Galinger of Beulah Heights, Kentucky, and Billie Ellen Philpot of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Maxine Perry and Alene Perry, both of Whitley City, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Penny Strunk of Loveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Darlenna Saylor Stone and her husband, Ed, Stephanie Ward and her husband, Doug, Michael Galinger and his wife, Courtney, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billy C. Stephens of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Sherry Branscum and her husband, Thomas, of Whitley City, Kentucky, and James Burton of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kailynn Saylor, Aftin Saylor, Taylor Galinger, Garrett Ward, Noah Ward, Emma Galinger, Anna Galinger, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sheena Keeton and husband, Dustin, Breanna Branscum, Will Branscum, and Erin Stephens, all of Whitley City, Kentucky.
