Geraldine Geri Gentry

Geraldine (Geri) Gladys Gentry, age 70 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died July 30, 2010 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday August 3, 2010 in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Pastor James Gentry officiating. Burial was in the Hickman Cemetery. Family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Monday August 2, 2010 at the Funeral Home. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 8, 1940 the daughter of the late Willis and Rosealma Shaeffer Schadel. She was a clerical secretary and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #115. Her parents and sisters Dollie Karpal and Betty Oswald precede her in death. Survivors include her husband Joe Gentry of Stearns, Kentucky, sons Scott Navarro of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Joe Gentry, Jr. of Butler, Kentucky, daughters Michelle Navarro of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Dawn Wipf of Camarillo, California, Lisa Fawns of Independence, Kentucky, and Gwen Frecska of Falmouth, Kentucky, and a brother Buster Schadel. Eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
