GEORGE C WALKER, JR.

George C. Walker, Jr., age 93 years, of Springfield, Ohio formerly pf McCreary County died June 19, 2011 in Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services were held Thursday June 23, 2011 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Bonnell officiating. Burial was in the McCreary Memorial Gardens. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AFTER 12NOON THURSDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME. He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on November 7, 1917 the son of the late Geoge C. and Mattie Ellen (Simpson) Walker. He was a structural iron worker, member of Hoffner Lodge #253 Masonic Lodge, and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. His parents, brothers Jack Walker and Edwin Warren Walker, and sister Gladys Riffle precede him in death. Survivors include his sister Lois Ann Harney and nephew Donald Walker both of Ohio. McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
