Frona E. Tucker

Frona E. Tucker, age 84 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Ritner, Kentucky on June 18, 1937 the daughter of Emery and Dora (Jones) Maxwell. Frona was a homemaker and member of the Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, working word puzzles, listening to gospel music, but her greatest joy in life was watching children whether her own or one’s she considered her own.

Her parents; husband, Lawrence Tucker; brothers, Dolpus B. Maxwell and Ardell Maxwell; and sisters, Dovie Tucker, Emma Lee Maxwell, and Dorothy Haas precede her in death.

Survivors include her children, Ardenia Garland and husband, Rick of Whitley City, Kentucky, Sherry Woodall and husband, Chuck of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Larry Tucker and wife, Margaret of Jellico, Tennessee; sisters and a sister in law (respectively) , whom helped care for her, Tammie (Maxwell) Smith and husband, Ray of Spring Hill, Tennessee, Amy Ann (Maxwell) West and husband, Raymond of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Nona (Spicer) Maxwell, of Whitley City; grandchildren, Randy Garland (Amy), Aimee Reece (Stacey), Ashlee Woodall (Jon Stockton), Josh Woodall (Tiffany), Laura Richerson (Josh), and Larry Tucker (Sierra); and 11 great grandchildren..

Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, November 26, 2021 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Rollins and Bro. Lonzo Tucker, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the McCreary Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the Funeral Home.
