Franklin Delano Jones

Franklin Delano Jones, age 85, of Stearns, Kentucky, was a loving husband to Aldena Jones, for 45 years, a beloved son to the late Rev. Thomas and Hazel Jones, and a loving father to Carolyn Pearcy (Tom), and Thomas David Jones. Frank was a caring grandfather to six grandchildren: Tommy Dale Jones, Anthony Pearcy (Janie), Scott Dale Hatfield, Erin Herbert (Bobby), Jessica Nolan (Nick), and Jonathan Jones (Candace). Frank also loved being a great-grandfather to seven.

Frank passed peacefully at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was a faithful employee of the General Electric Company in Evendale, Ohio, where he retired after 37 years of service. Frank was a member of the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge for 55 years, and was a member of the First Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding Frank in death were four brothers: Dorman Jones, Darryl Jones, Thomas Jones Jr., and Rev. Glen Jones.

Masonic and Funeral services will be held 2 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes, and Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12 PM Saturday at the McCreary County Funeral Home, located at 48 W. Hwy. 700, Whitley City, KY 42653.
