Frances Marie Burk

Frances Marie Burk, age 71 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on February 27, 1947 the daughter of the late Elbert and Ida (King) Stephens. She was a member of the Murphy Ridge Church of God and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and her family, especially her grandchildren. Frances had worked for OVC as a machine operator and had been a manager for the Southern Dollar Store.

Her parents; brothers, Melvin Stephens and Ronald Stephens; and sister, Kathrine Johnson precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Allen Arthur Burk, whom she married March 25, 1965; children, Sherry Dixon and husband, Will of Whitley City, Kentucky, Micheal Burk and wife, Tonya of Yukon, Oklahoma, Jeffery Burk and wife, Julie of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Gordon Burk and wife, Crystal of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Bruce Stephens and Joe Stephens both of Pine Knot, and Tim Stephens of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister, Barbara Littrell of Strunk, Kentucky; grandchildren, Rodney Cox, Don Cox, Christopher Burk, Joshua Burk, Cory Burk, Zachary Burk, Elijah Morrow, and McKenzie Burk; and great grandchildren, Cade Burk, Teagan Burk, Sadie Cox, Desa Cox, Lyndee Cox, Weston Cox, and Paxton Cox.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Perry and Bro. Dean Phillips officiating. Burial to follow in the Stephens Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
