Floyd L. Shelton, age 60 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died August 9, 2011 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday August 12, 2011 at 2pm in the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmie Vanover officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery.
He was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on May 5, 1951 the son of the late James Stanley (Popeye) and Aline (Worley) Shelton. He was a roofer.
His parents, brother Kenneth Shelton, and sister Mary Ann Hale precede him in death.
Survivors include his daughters Danielle Shelton and boyfriend John Ely of The Colony, Texas and Celeste Barbeau and husband Brad of Venus, Texas, a very special friend Elizabeth Jackson, and brothers James Shelton of Plano, Texas and Walter Shelton of Dallas, Georgia. Grandchildren Kyle, Brandyn, and Derian and great grandchild Chaseton also survive.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
