Florence Elaine West

Florence Elaine West, age 81 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Monday December 26, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on March 30, 1941 the daughter of Robert Benjamin and Mary Ada (Hammac) Fultz.  Elaine had worked 25years at the Ford Motor Company Cafeteria as a cook, was a member of the Petersburg Missionary Baptist Church, a life member of the Monroe Boat Club, and enjoyed fishing, family, knitting, and bingo.

Her parents; husband, Everett Glenn West; brother, Luther Joe “Butch” Fultz; and sister, Pansy Blakesley precede her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Belinda St. Bernard (Steven) of Monroe, Michigan, Mary Annette Miller of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Kristie Quarles (Stephen) of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Rev. Ernest P Fultz of Petersburg, Michigan, Robert B. “Smokey” Fultz, Jr. of Lafollette, Tennessee, Rev. John Wayne Fultz of Carleton, Michigan, and Rev, Daniel K. Fultz of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters, Berniece Cunningham of Tazewell, Tennessee, Mary Ruth Wethington of Tazewell, Tennessee, and Anita Kay Wexell of Lafollette, Tennessee; grandchildren, Roxann Payne, Darion Quarles, Adrian Quarles, Hayden Quarles, and Ilithyia Quarles; and great grandchildren, Isaic Johnson and Zander Cilley.

In keeping with Elaine’ swishes cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
