Flora Cox

Flora (Spradlin) Cox, age 93, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away at Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Flora was born in Stearns to the late Fred Spradlin and the late Flossie (Waters) Spradlin on March 14, 1930. She loved sewing, fishing, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Arles Douglas; her second husband, Elvin Cox; her daughter, Flossie Douglas; brothers, Elmon Spradlin, Inman Spradlin, Bob Spradlin; and sisters, Judy Spradlin, Dorothy Musgrove, Ora Bowman, and Mildred Daugherty.

Flora is survived by her sons, Randall Douglas, of Revelo, Kentucky, Roger Douglas, of Williamsburg, Kentucky; Brothers, Todd Spradlin, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Buck Spradlin, of Stearns; sister, Janice Ross of Strunk, Kentucky; her grandson, Tyler Douglas; and two great granddaughters.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 3:00pm EST in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service and will be in the Angel Cemetery in Stearns.
