FAYE WHITAKER

November 16, 1952 — March 14, 2012

Juanita Fayrene Whitaker, age 59 years, of Stearns, Kentucky left this life on March 14, 2012 at her home. She was born November 16, 1952 to the late Dow and Alpha (Perry) Ridner. Fay was a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church in Stearns, Kentucky and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and a special friend Robert Lewis, and she also enjoyed gardening.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, PJ, two brothers, Pete and Dewey Ridner, and a sister, Betty Fuller.

Survivors include her special friend, Robert Lewis; her daughters, Rachel Abbott and husband, Chris, of Parker’s Lake, KY, Melissa Redford of Stearns, KY,Charlene Roberts and husband, Billy, also of Stearns, KY, and Nettie Summers of Pine Knot, Kentucky; several grandchildren, Dow Crabtree of Whitley City, KY, Billy Roberts and wife, Jamie, Samantha Stephens, Kristian Douglas and husband, Jerry, all of Parker’s Lake, KY, Jamie Bennish of Whitley City, Kentucky, Jackie Abbott, Erica Staggs, and Lacey Abbott, all also of Parker’s Lake, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Raigen Douglas, Laiken Crabtree, both of Parker’s Lake, KY, and Jessa Crabtree of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Mary Cox of Whitley City, Josie (and Rex) Gosnell of Pine Knot, KY, and Rachel Bryant and husband, Dillard, of Pine Knot, KY; and brothers, John Ridner and wife, Faye, of Whitley City, KY, and Leo Ridner (and partner Geraldine); Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral home with Dr. Drake, Bro. Eddie Miller, and Bro. Dillard Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the Mill Creek Cemetery.

Faye will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
