Evelyn Sue Vanover, age 60 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died April 6, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2pm in the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church with Rev. Esco David (Boone) Perry and Bro. Leroy Perry. Burial was in the Vanover Family Cemetery.
She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on April 24, 1951 the daughter of Gracie Evelyn (Taylor) sears and the late Troy Mason Sears. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Her father, brother, Ronald Sears; and sister, Pearly Clark precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband Fletcher Vanover of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; mother, Gracie Evelyn Sears of Jellico, Tennessee; sons Kenneth Roy Clark and wife Shonda of Corbin, Kentucky and Tony Mathew Vanover and wife Alisha of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Cathy Sue Perry and husband Daniel of Parkers Lake, Kentucky and Christy Ann Paul and husband Anthony of Sopchoppy, Florida; brothers, Thurstal Taylor of Parkers Lake, Kentucky and Donald Sears of Jellico, Tennessee; and sisters, Thelma Keith of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Iva Dean Duncan and husband Jerry of Whitley City, Kentucky, Mary Goff and Charlene Lay and husband Junior both of Jellico, Tennessee, and Debbie Lowery and husband Mark of Somerset, Kentucky. 10 grandchildren also survive.
