Evelyn (Hensley) Rollins age 73 of Parkers Lake, Kentucky went home to Heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her home in Whitley City. She was born in Embreville, Tennessee on April 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Logan and Anna Mae (Tittle) Hensley. Evelyn was a member of the Sawyer Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, Mintford Rollins, grandson, Steven Michael Rollins, brothers, Don and Gaither Hensley, and two sisters, June Lancaster and Patricia Benze precede her in death.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary Rollins of Somerset, Kentucky, Darrell Rollins, and Steve Rollins both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; and a daughter, Lisa Barnett of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Sam Hensley and wife, Shirley, of Rogersville, Tennessee, Joe Hensley and wife, Judy, of Rogersville, Tennessee, and Billy Hensley and wife, Kurtis, of Freemont, Ohio; a sister, Goldie Rollins and husband, Amos, of Bronston, Kentucky; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Hensley of Port Clinton, Ohio. Evelyn leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife. She was a very loving and devoted person and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Ridener and Rev. Pete Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Eagle Creek Cemetery.
