ESTHER ALLENE DAVIS

Esther Allene Davis, age 84 years, of Somerset, Kentucky died December 5, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Monticello, Kentucky.  Funeral services were held Friday, December 7, 2012 at the First Apostolic Church at 1pm in Somerset, Kentucky with Pastor Joe Cox and Pastor Coy G. Cox officiating.  Burial was in the Cross Cemetery in Winfield, Tennessee.

She was born in Cooperative, Kentucky on August 15, 1928 the daughter of the late David “Dade” H. and Blanche (King) Duncan.  She was a school teacher and member of the First Apostolic Church in Somerset, Kentucky.

Her parents; husband, George W. Davis; brother, Manuel Duncan; and sisters, Lucille Duncan, Wanda Chapman, and Berneice Griewe precede her in death.

Survivors include her children, George Davis and wife, Tressie of Hamersville, Ohio, Michael Davis and wife, Kim of Eubank, Kentucky, Deborah Upchurch and husband, David of Monticello, Kentucky, and Sonya Noe and husband, Jody of Somerset, Kentucky; brothers, David Duncan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Donald Duncan of Eubank, Kentucky; and sisters, Betty Blankenship of Springsboro, Ohio and Phyllis Johnson of Somerset, Kentucky.  Grandchildren, Anthony, Eric, Chandra, Jon-Michael, Stephanie, Shon-Michael, Colby, Landon, Madelynn, Brittany, and Tiffany; step grandchildren, Justin, Michelle, and Daniel; and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
