Ernest Lewis Perkins

Mr. Ernest Lewis Perkins of Whitley City, Kentucky, departed this life at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital on November 28, 2014 being 98 years, 8 months, and 3 days old. He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky, on March 25, 1916 the son of the late Lewis and Emma (Bryant) Perkins.

He was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church; a member of the American Legion post 115; and a member of the three C’s, Ernest received an honorable discharge from serving in the US NAVY in 1946. He worked for 28 years at Western Auto Store.

Earnest is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; Edna Keith Perkins whom he married in 1949, brothers and sisters; Arthur Sewell Perkins, Bertha Lee Perkins, Luther Hayes Perkins, Laura May Perkins, Flora Jane Perkins, Tommy Estell Perkins, Nora Mildred Perkins and Mossie Meadows.

He is survived by three sons; Ernest Perkins Jr. and wife Gale of Florence, KY, Richard Dick Morgan, Bruce Morgan and wife Lois Maria of Mississippi, one daughter; Jean Jones and husband George of Cincinnati, Ohio, Twelve Grand Children, Twenty Great Grand-Children and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

In Accordance’s with Mr. Perkins wishes there will be no funeral services.
