Eric “Frog” Dwight Wilson, age 42 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died December 31, 2019.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 16, 1977 the son of Myrtle (Patrick) Wilson Coffey and Lowell “Dick” Wilson. Eric had served his country in the US Navy, a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God, a Kentucky Colonel and was a Gunsmith. He was a huge fan of UK Basketball and Football, he enjoyed hunting, movies, reading, and being outdoors.
His father and brother, Adam Coffey precede him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Myrtle Coffey (Teddy) of Whitley City; sisters and brothers, Debbie Smith (Larry), Teresa Bryant (Harold) both of Whitley City, Greg Coffey (Norma) of Pine Knot, Mark Coffey (Velma) of Whitley City, Wanda Cecil (Jody) of Huntsville, Tennessee, Teddy D. Coffey (Melanie), and Michael Coffey both of Sarasota, Florida; a special nephew, Josh Hansman; and several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Eric was loved by all and will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Watters officiating. Burial to follow in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Funeral Home.
