Ella Mae Freeman Rose age 86 of Whitley City, Kentucky, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Boyd Rowe officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born December 3, 1925 in Oneida, Tennessee, to Lester Corder and Florence Slaven Corder. Ella was a member of the Whitley City 1st Baptist Church, the senior citizens, and was a homemaker.
Her mother, father, 1st husband, Ernest Freeman, 2nd husband, William Thomas Rose, daughter, Phyllis Jeffers, brothers, Bob Corder, Ross Thomas, Roscoe Thomas, Glenn White, and Omva White, and a sister, Hazel Cox precede his in death.
Survivors include her sons, James Freeman of Whitley City, Kentucky and Mark Rose of Loveland, Ohio; a daughter Norene Goodin and husband, James, of Marshes Siding; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
