EDWIN BENTON KING, JR

April 15, 1943 — March 14, 2013

Edwin Benton King, Jr., age 69 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died March 14, 2013 in Somerset, Kentucky at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Funeral services were held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Vaughn officiating.  Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.

He was born in Revelo, Kentucky on April 15, 1943 the son of the late Benton and Navada (Crabtree) King.  He was a member of Beech Grove United Baptist Church, he was retired.

HIS parents; one son, Jerry Wayne King, two  brothers, Loren King and Kenneth King, one sister, Shirley Crabtree and one great grand son,  Xavior Wayne King, precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Watson King, his son Crandall King and wife Carolyn, of Revelo, Kentucky, his daughter-in-law Lora King, from Tateville, Kentucky; daughters, Teresa Bruce and husband Chris from Kernersville, North Carolina, Patricia Slaven and husband Raven from Strunk, Kentucky, brothers, Bobby King and wife Pauline of Somerset, Kentucky, Morris King and wife Faye of Woodruff, south Carolina, and Bruce King and wife Naomi, Startex, South Carolina, sisters, Lois West and husband Bernie of Knoxville, Tennessee, Stella Phillips and husband Bill of Stearns, Kentucky and Charlotte Hamlin and husband Ray Randelman, North Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him; but we kown that our loss is his eternal gain.
